Lower cost systems, however, require annual cartridge replacement costs that can run around $400. Higher-cost systems are self-cleaning and do not require maintenance for around seven years.

Is a home water filtration system tax deductible?
You’ll need to check with your accountant to determine if you can deduct the cost of your water filtration system, but we have found these home improvement costs to be deductible for past clients. 

How do whole home water filtration systems work?
Whole home water filtration systems work by removing pollutants and contaminants from your water supply by forcing the water through a carbon block, an activated carbon block, or a catalytic carbon block that will retain the pollutants and chemicals and allow only clean water to pass by into the home for consumption and use.

How are they installed?
First, a licensed plumber will separate the main plumbing system supply line and drain the water pressure. Next, we install the new system on the home’s main water supply before entering any fixtures.
